I'm also aware there are other shortcuts for different kinds of functionality. However, I specifically need to be able to change the setting for the active window style of screenshot. I'm working in a high productivity setting where I need to take numerous quick screenshots of my active window.
Specifically, I work with several applications and need to capture my work before I complete it, for billing purposes. I'm trying to speed up my workflow. Change the hotkeys according to your wish. ShareX also provides an option to assign a hotkey for new tasks. Just tap the Add menu on the top left corner, select a task, and assign the hotkey.
Upon downloading the ShareX tool, you can use the above-mentioned shortcuts to take screenshots and record screens. Instead, it presents an URL that you can open on your browser to save the image.
To save your images to the device automatically, right-click the ShareX icon and select the menu, which is labeled as After capture tasks. By enabling that, you can save the screenshots locally on your preferred location and format. To capture different modes of screenshots, right-click the ShareX icon and select the Capture menu.
You will see the following options:. Upon selecting the region, it will start to record your desktop. In case you are satisfied with the screenshot captured, you can proceed to the next step or repeat the steps above to get the best screenshot for the purpose.
Note from the above Screenshot that the Select button of Paint Application is selected and the Screenshot captured is highlighted with doted lines. In case you do not want to do any editing and you want simply to save the Screenshot as a File, just click on the Save button which looks like Floppy Disk and is visible at the top left corner of the Paint Application and specify File Name, File Type Default is PNG File format in Windows 7 and File Location as displayed in the screenshot below.
Screenshots are great way to visually share information with other people. Yes you can even record Videos to share information visually on computers, but Screenshots are much easier to create, view and manage.
